Notes:
- We require all Neuroscience Students to complete PHYS 1 & 2. If these courses are not fulfilled here they will need to be fulfilled as part of free electives.
- Note: MATH 1553 or 1554 or 1564 is a prerequisite for NEUR 3002. MATH 1553 (2 cr.) is preferred but MATH 1554 (Linear Algebra, 4 cr.) or MATH 1564 (Linear Algebra with Vector Spaces, 4 cr.) can satisfy this requirement with the excess 2 cr. to be applied to free electives
- PSYC 1101 is a prerequisite for NEUR 2001/NEUR 2010, a major required course. It is recommended that students take PSYC as one of their social science courses.
- CHEM 2311 is an approved substitution for CHEM 1315 for students who complete a full year of organic chemistry (i.e. both CHEM 2311 and CHEM 2312 must be completed).
- Four credits of NEUR 4601 is only allowed to substitute NEUR 4001 if the student has successfully completed the Georgia Tech Research Option. The Research Option requires an additional 5 credits of research (a maximum of 3 credits of NEUR 2699/4699 may be applied to ‘Additional Neuroscience Electives’ and the remaining credits will be applied to Free Electives) and LMC 4701 (1 credit) and LMC 4702 (1 credit) (both applied to Free Electives). Submission of a research proposal and thesis/report is required to complete the Research Option.
- See long list of approved minors that will satisfy the breadth
