Each spring GT partners with the Atlanta Science Festival and the Dana Foundation in celebration of Brain Awareness Week. Each year, neuroscience faculty member & Director for Neuroscience Outreach Christina Ragan heads up these initiatives as she hosts her outreach “Super Bowl” — Brain Awareness Day.
Each year dozens of undergraduate Neuroscience majors volunteer their time to these K-12 events, showing off brain dissections, teaching students to make pipe-cleaner neurons, and leading sensation & perception demonstrations.
